A new chapter in our warehousing
Babenhausen, 3 February 2025 – On 31 January 2025, an era came to an end: at 11:32 a.m., the last box was removed from the old FT warehouse and transferred to the state-of-the-art AutoStore system.
After 46 years of operation and challenges posed by flood damage, we are saying goodbye to a loyal but ageing system.
With the successful commissioning of the new AutoStore in October last year, a new phase of warehouse management is now beginning. Thanks to robot-assisted technology and intelligent warehouse organisation, the system enables orders to be processed more quickly and efficiently. Containers are stacked to save space, while the system automatically recognises which items are needed most frequently in order to position them optimally.
But that's just the beginning: automation opens up numerous new possibilities for us, and the future holds many exciting developments. At the same time, the old warehouse is being demolished to make way for a new pallet warehouse – another step towards modern and efficient logistics.
