At the Blaulichtempfang „Sicheres Bayern“ on 26 October 2025, 17 companies from Bavaria were honoured by Joachim Herrmann, Minister of the Interior and Civil Protection, as ‘Volunteer-friendly companies – Working together for greater safety’.

This award recognises companies that actively support their employees in their voluntary work with the fire brigade, rescue services, technical relief services or other emergency services, for example through flexible working time models or time off for operations and training.
We are delighted to have received the award, which was presented to us on Sunday in Nuremberg. We were nominated by our colleague Manfred Hemmerle, who is actively involved in the THW Krumbach and was also present at the ceremony.
Dr Klaus Jostschulte and Andreas Tochtermann accepted the award on behalf of DILO. It was a wonderful moment of recognition for our joint commitment to voluntary work and safety.
Minister Joachim Herrmann emphasised: ‘Such a strong voluntary commitment to the community and the protection of our population cannot be taken for granted. We can be very proud of this.’
